The Fort Pierce Central boys Basketball team is on a hot streak, winning their last 10 games. Today they played Pompano Beach Ely in the Florida I have a Dream MLK Tournament at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale., winning by a score of 58-51. The Cobras are now 5-0 against teams from Broward County this season.
Christopher Maxon had 15 points including two 3-pointers. Derick King had 12 points and 16 rebounds along with five blocks. Christian Maxon continued his hot hand with five 3-point shots. The win puts the Cobras at 16-4 overall this season and 3-1 in their District.
Sophomore Christian Maxon leads the entire state of FL with 63 three-pointers this season. He is also ranked fifth overall in Division 7A for points scored and is averaging 19.4 points per game. Senior Josh Williams is ranked seventh in Division 7A for scoring with 17.4 points per game while Christopher Maxon is ranked 15th with 14.2 points per game in Division 7A.
